Hotel Jade Mar
is the only conventional hotel that you will find in the Drake Bay area.
Located in the community of Agujitas (sometimes called Drake) Hotel Jade Mar
offers a full range of lodging alternatives, but modest priced hotel-style
lodging, to all-inclusive accommodations that include three meals per day.
The facility also boasts a single signature bungalow located along the Drake
Bay beach. Hotel Jade Mar offers 24-hour security and parking and is
one of the few regional destinations that can be reached by vehicle.
Offering a full range of guided tours, transport support, and regional
activities, Jade Mar is a great jumping off point for budget travelers
traveling to or from Corcovado National Park. Travel by plane directly
to the Drake Bay air strip then taxi into Agujitas to Jade Mar, or travel to
Palmar Sur, taxi to Sierpe, then travel by river boat to Agujitas, bus in
from Puerto Jimenez/La Palma, or arrive by boat or foot from the park.
Be sure to secure reservations in advance to ensure availability as there
are few alternatives in Agujitas proper. For best results, plan our
all-inclusive package, though there are sodas and modest restaurants in the
area that you can spread meals between if you select the lodging only
alternative.
